Interdisciplinary science combines chemistry, physics, and engineering, requiring diverse expertise from each field. I value academic diversity and, very importantly, everyone’s diverse backgrounds, welcoming everyone from all sexual orientations, races, genders, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, physical abilities, and religions who share common democratic values.

While striving for academic excellence, thinking outside of the box is very important. My creativity is best when other external factors do not stress my mind. A happy workplace with strong support will result in better results for the team. I value a welcoming social work environment, a good community, communication, and a sense of belonging.
